    No facilities. Nothing.

The turn off into Thrushton National Park is easy to miss; the sign on the road is old and faded as simply says “Thrushton”. The actual parks sign is at the start of the track inside the park and not visible from Rutherglen Road. When I visited, the track was in excellent condition however a few fallen trees intruded on parts of it. The homestead camping area is about 3km from the park entrance. About 2km in from the entrance there is a Y intersection; the left hand track leads to the Homestead. There are no signs on any of the tracks in the Park. The Shearing Shed camping area is about another 2km past the homestead. I preferred the Shearing Shed camping ground, a little more nostalgic and the landscape more interesting. It would be easy to get lost walking in this park and there are no designated walking tracks. Read the safety information on the Parks website. A very tranquil and natural bush camping experience.

Flat and interesting place. Lots of places to camp and no one there when we visited.
